The scenario I shared before about a father here in Utah and the GAL assigned, let's just call him Mr. South, and reunification therapist, an LCSW, is starting to show its colors of greed and corruption. The oversight committee decided they will also not look at the evidence because it was before the case started in Utah, despite the fact that jurisdiction actually was in Wyoming, and Utah refused to respect that jurisdiction. Hmmm... isn't that convenient for the mother's attorney, GAL, and therapist? What ever happened with due diligence? I guess these professionals missed that day in class...
So here is the real issue... for whatever reason, and I'm guessing financial... the mom, let's just call her Miss. Sunshine, was able to permanently remove her children from their home state and keep them for five years from their father, as well as make false claims about the father, as she did in Wyoming, but the courts there saw through her lies, and then have the father, who is chronically ill, go to jail several times, pay fines and have probation time.
This is what the Utah family court system is allowing by giving too much influence to the GAL, Mr. South, in this case.... They are also allowing the mom, who has documented history of being violent, as well as a history of being violent to the children, to be the sole custodian of the children. Oh, I also forgot to mention that when Miss Sunshine was "fleeing for her life" from an "abusive relationship," she was conveniently fleeing charges against her from the State of Wyoming for abusing her at-the-time-husband.
To those who perpetuate this situation: I can't believe you choose to not do the right thing. These children count on you 'professionals' to wake up and do your job! To the family and friends that are saying nothing to Miss Sunshine; research what happens when children grow up without their father... hopefully you'll see the wrongs here. The father isn't abusive, especially not physically abusive. He's not perfect, but he loves his boys tremendously. You all know Miss Sunshine's behaviors, including the tendency to feign victimization... don't let these boys grow up without a relationship with their father.
Lastly, I will say that I don't believe the Commissioner involved in this case has ill intentions. But I hope she understands the importance of looking at Miss. Sunshine's documented history of behaviors as they have scrutinized the father's behaviors without ever considering possible PTSD from having his children kidnapped, a fundamental attribution error on their part. The picture is lopsided when we don't consider the events in Wyoming.
To my readers and supporters, thank you for reading yet another long post. This story isn't over.... Peace
